Amanda Lyon-Smith is an award-winning professional mixed media artist known for her serene seascapes, coastal-inspired abstracts and vibrant still life works.
Hailing from Devon, Amanda's lifelong passion for art became a full-time pursuit during the first lockdown.
With inspiration drawn from Teignmouth's breathtaking coastline, she delved into creating art driven by her wild imagination and a deep connection to her surroundings.
Her artwork is intuitive, unique and authentic, characterised by energetic mark-making and the use of various tools and mediums.
Amanda creates layers of texture and depth, blending the rules of composition with pure instinct. Her distinctive style has garnered recognition, including being shortlisted for the VAO Emerging Artist Award and selected for the London Flux exhibition three times. With regular exhibitions, including seven solos and some international sales, Amanda's artistic journey is poised for an exciting future.
