Teign Maritime & Shanty Festival Friday Night Concert featuring Kimber's Men

2023 is going to be even bigger and better then previous festivals, with around 50 sets of shanty singing groups attending from all over the UK, and the tall ship “Pelican” moored in Teignmouth Harbour all weekend. In addition there are around 15 Maritime themed family friendly presentations & exhibitions.
As well as all the totally free to attend events over the Saturday and Sunday, Friday evening sees the new feature of a paid concert at the Pavilions Teignmouth, featuring headliners “Kimber’s Men”, ably supported by the wonderful singing duo that are “LocTup Together” and the ever popular “Captain’s Beard” who wowed audiences at the last festival.
Kimber's Men - Audiences everywhere, rave over the harmonies of Kimber's Men. They have appeared at Festivals in Ostende, Appingedam, Portmagee, Portsoy, Fano in Denmark, and all over the UK. Featured twice on Sunday brunch for Channel 4 ,they also starred in the BBC2 and BBC4 production of Sea Songs, with Gareth Malone; the latter being the most viewed programme of the year, on BBC 4.
Loc'Tup Together - A duo who specialise in close-harmony arrangements and although they both play instruments in recent years the pair have leaned more towards using unaccompanied arrangements in order to emphasise their harmony style.
The Captains' Beard - Yarrr! The Captain's Beard be a company o' travelin' troubadors on a quest te bring the finest o' sea shantys and forebitters to the ears of all who'll listen. We play songs of the grog, grot and grime that comes o' travelling the high seas. Fer all who enjoy the pirates life let us be yer soundtrack.
